Apurbo Ahmed Jewel: On August 5, former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who fled to India, began leaking recorded phone calls one after another to endanger the new government that took power in Bangladesh. There, she announced various fake programs and ordered leaders and activists to take to the field. Yunus criticized various works of the government. But this time, Sheikh Hasina gave a speech in front of leaders and activists virtually in New York. In that speech, she claimed that all the allegations of genocide brought against her were motivated by purpose! The former Prime Minister claimed that Dr. Yunus was the mastermind of the genocide. Dr. Yunus was assisted by BNP leader Tarique Rahman and student coordinators. Sheikh Hasina said in her speech, “Today, charges of genocide have been brought against me. But in reality, Muhammad Yunus is the one who conspired with the student coordinators and committed the genocide. They are the masterminds. Even Tarique Rahman (son of BNP leader Khaleda Zia) said from London that if the deaths continue like this, then this government will not last long.’ After that, he said, ‘Today, teachers and police are being attacked and killed. Hindus, Buddhists, Christians are being targeted. Churches and several temples have been attacked. Why are minorities being targeted in Bangladesh now?’ Surprisingly, Sheikh Hasina complained that America wanted to remove her while in power, but she did not utter a word against America in her virtual speech!
The problem is that the possibility of Dr. Yunus coming into this heinous politics of Bangladesh for his own interest is zero percent. There is direct support from America behind the July movement. Will the Awami League try Dr. Yunus as the mastermind of the genocide in the future?
If a US connection is found in the July coup, will Sheikh Hasina’s party seek a genocide trial against America in the ICC?
