BNP Leaders: Ignoring Law and Justice Behind the Veil of Power

Apurbo Ahmed Jewel: In the political landscape of Bangladesh, certain BNP leaders are displaying an astonishing audacity that defies the understanding of ordinary citizens. Their behavior seems to place them above the law in public spaces. Observing the violence, threats, and disregard for justice raises a serious question—

“Have they publicly been granted a ‘rape license,’ allowing them to act with impunity and without accountability?”

Detailed Analysis:

  1. Lack of Responsibility and Morality:
Power has become merely a tool for personal gain. Public interest or ethical considerations hold no weight. Observing the leaders’ actions, it is clear that the fear of losing power shapes their moral compass. They have created a political culture where adherence to law or respect for justice is simply ignored.
  2. Operating Outside the Law:
The leaders appear to act above the law. Using their influence and connections, they treat criminal acts as if they were lawful. Public threats, violence, and abuse of power place their political conduct far beyond moral boundaries.
  3. Threats to Public Safety:
When leaders’ behavior itself becomes a danger to ordinary citizens, people cannot feel safe. In such an environment, citizens experience a sense of lawlessness and insecurity.
  4. Lack of Reform in Political Culture:
Arrogance, abuse of power, and coercion against ordinary citizens have become routine among BNP leaders. They bypass the law for political purposes and act against democratic norms and justice, turning politics almost into a culture of intimidation and lawlessness.
  5. Call for Awareness:
Those who publicly condone wrongdoing, ignore the law, and jeopardize public safety are enslaved to their own thirst for power. It is society’s responsibility to expose these leaders’ true character, raise public awareness, and ensure justice is upheld.

Conclusion:

Observing the political conduct of certain BNP leaders, it appears as if they are operating with a publicly sanctioned ‘rape license’ outside the law. Public safety, justice, and peace—these values mean nothing to them. Greed for power, arrogance, and lack of morality define their politics.
